Global Understanding

Recent globalization is nothing more or less than talking each other with people from all over the world and living together with people of different cultures and values. Our group "Global Understanding" aims at developing basic knowledge and practical skills of global understanding for people of different backgrounds to live all together.

The various global issues (it may be called global-scale issues) hover throughout the world: War, Terrorism, Environmental Issues, North-South Problems, Gender Issues, Racism, Minority Issues, Human Rights, and so on. These issues are not only belonging to the other side of the world but also casting a shadow on our daily student life. In this means, we, individuals need to address these issues.

In 2012 year, our group "Global Understanding" will run the seminar with a tutor's help. At the each seminar, we will discuss and deepen our understanding on one of the above issues. The issue being discussed will be selected according to the participants' interest.
